White with one challenge 'Hemlock'

Hi all, my last blog post for the night.
This month I did the White with one challenge. This months colour being hemlock, such a pretty colour, loved working with it.

This is my take on the colour.

The photo was taken Australia day this year, when we spent the day with my bestfriend and her little family at the You Yangs.

I used a card and dragged it down on one side with texture paste, to give the background added interest, then used gelatos mixed as water colours and carefully paint each line with out going too much and making it all blend as one.

A bit of kaisercraft flowers and I added a bit of cotton behind just so it didn't look so plain.

Tim holtz new distress colours cracked pistachio worked well with this. I used distress stain to cover the chipboard and the colour fits right in.

Product Used:
Kaisercraft smooth cardstock white
Texture paste
Gelatos
Random papers
Kaisercraft flowers
Cotton
Chipboard word
Tim Hotlz distress stain - cracked pistachio

D'lish scraps march inpiration board

Hi all, this month I attempted D'lish scraps march challenge. I also brought the 'just add paper' kit that went along with this challenge.

This is my take on the March inspiration board.

I recently did class with Beck Beattie, where we got to use Twinklings H2O's.
I have never used the product before, but now I love them. There colour gives such a pop to a page.

So I decided to use it Twinklings with this page, as I wanted the yellow on the background to be really bright and stand out.

I did stenciling in the background first with texture paste, then added the Twinklings, sprayed water and tilted the page to get the colour to run.

Also used the Twinklings for splattering in the background.

I added some metallic melts on the chipboard title.
Cute little flowers are all D'lish scrap products in the 'just add paper'.

Product Used:
D'lish 'just add paper' kit
Twinklings H2O's - lemondrop, teal zircon
Random scrap paper
Prima stencil
Tinby Design Metallic Melts - silver

Thanks for taking the time to look.

Kraft Plus challenge 'All That Glitters'

Hi all, this month I did Kraft Plus challenge, plus along with a few others.

This is my take on the challenge.

I originally went with red paint as there was red in my dress, but after everything was laid out I felt the black and white picture looked better.

I tried to add a bit of everything in the background, which worked good through old scraps and left over stuff and using some of it.

I did a technique I learnt in Beck Beattie's class, using an credit card dragging it along the page with paint.

To get the gold glitter embossing power to stick I used a product called Goosebumps. Awesome product to use to random embossing or even as a resist with texture.

Products Used:
Kraft paper
Acrylic paint
Chipboard word
Prima flowers
Goosebumps
Ranger embossing tinsel - gold
Metal embellishments

Thanks for taking the time to look.
